Old pool facilities could use a modern touch!!! Room cleanliness needs attention, with some areas showing dust buildup!!! Outdated furnishings scream for immediate updates!!!

the castle offers excellent leisure facilities, including a swimming pool and spa. it's conveniently located, making it easy to get here by boat from ireland. the staff were super attentive during breakfast, making the dining experience really pleasant. i also loved how many guests appreciated the clean rooms and overall friendly atmosphere.

I loved the easy stroll to nearby gems like Agnew Park and the Castle of St John, making my explorations delightful, while the ambiance in the dining area truly felt like stepping back in time with crisp white tablecloths and attentive service.

Lovely staff made the stay!

We were a couple and stayed 1 night. The staff were super nice and really went out of their way to make us feel comfy. The bar area is unique and chill. The food was delish! But, the rooms could use a bit of an update. our mattress had a weird stain, which wasn’t great.

The room was a decent size with a comfy bed, which made for a good night's sleep. It felt warm and adequately furnished. It wasn't small, so there was enough space to move around. pretty cozy!

Comfortable stay and young staff were nice. WiFi dropped frequently.

Breakfast was enjoyable, offering a variety that catered to our tastes. the building's exterior feels tired and could benefit from a refresh, while the decor in the common areas appears outdated and in need of maintenance, detracting from the overall experience. An opportunity for improvement would be enhancing the pool area, which lacks a modern touch.

I loved the exquisite food, especially the brisket at dinner, and the generous full Scottish breakfast! The charming old-world vibe with lovely fireplaces transported me back in time!

This place suits me perfectly, offering 24-hour reception, a bar/lounge area, and a relaxing indoor swimming pool. I recall my first visit when staff kindly lent me a phone charger. Highly recommend staying here, returning for Easter!

Loved the relaxing pool and large games room. Our family reunion was nice with great activities and a stunning sea view room. Everyone enjoyed the leisure facilities, especially the sauna and jacuzzi!
